I'm personally excited about his news.... I've been "patiently" waiting, year after year, to buy a JK, hoping for a better engine....

Well I actually was planning on getting one spring/summer anyway but if theres a more powerful engine then even better, if not I'll take what I can get as long as it's a Wrangler.

This is my 4th jeep and i can honestly say ive never got stuck from a lack of hp or torque from the 4.0 or the 3.8. Not bashing the penstar but not excited about it either. People on this site have shiney ball syndrom.... Ohhh new interior must sell an start over, ohhh new engine gotta sell, ohhh new dashboard bobble-head doll gotta have that.... Lol its funny to read.

Im not about to start over either...plus, im sure there are kinks that will need to be worked out for the first couple of model years with the new setup...maybe by then I will have enough miles to need a new Jeep

Never loved the 3.8 but it does appear to have a better power band than the new p-star. i'll be impressed when they come with a diesel and scrap all the gas units.

Definitely a newer and modern engine, was about time.
I hope it is a solid engine, and it doesn't come with "newborn" issues.

I wish I can afford it, but I will stick with my outdated 3.8L for a while...
If I could I would get it, but honestly I'm in love with my Jk now, It would be hard to break up with it.
