My wife and I brought ours home yesterday on our JK roof. I bought a tarp and put that under the tree, then tied it to the roll bars inside (I opened the doors first, then tired it)... No scratches.....

I did it and I had no problems. We drove about 25 miles with it on top. Only thing you notice is the increased wind noise.
Quit being little girls about the top. It is the top!
I guess you are all concerned with your mall cruiser looking good.

Ours was 8.5 feet.
