Chevy Colorado ???
Be for I get flamed, yes I'm keeping the jeep!
After 22 yrs. of jeeps and nothing else I'm going to look at a mid size truck.
Does any one have a new Colorado? I do like the Z71 package.
I have been looking for a new truck and this one looks good to me.
I would mostly be on good logging/dirt roads, and along the sides of fields nothing I would need the jeep for.
Good/bad indifferent all comments welcome.
Thanks

Looks pretty nice. There is a diesel option coming next year (confirmed).
The GMC looks a little less money no van front my opinion.
The totally new Tacoma for 2016 just got released.
The Titan is a whole new truck with a 5.0 Cummins In it this year as well.
The Frontier is due for a whole new truck around 2016
Check out the new Ram Rebel. It's Ram's answer to the Ford Craptor

I looked into one for a Dd before I bought a GC. They are pricey for what they are and the bed doesn't give you typical truck functionality. If it were 3 yrs from now and I could get a used one I might have gone for it.

I think the new Colorado has some real potential as a small truck / back country exploring vehicle. Everything about it looks better than the last model was, except for the lack of a V8 option. And I liked the old Colorado / Canyon platform, and built of few of those trucks. The first truck had the I-5 engine, a Rancho lift, and 33s, and it worked really good. The second truck had the V-8 engine, a Rancho lift, 33s, and ARB air lockers at both ends, and it worked even better. I didn't care for the Falken Wild Peak AT tires on the second truck, but other than that it was a good back country rig. Both trucks worked well for me, and I think a new Colorado would also work well.
Here are a few pictures of the trucks I had.
Truck 1
Truck 2
Both trucks had a nice recessed winch mount like this.
ARB compressor and winch solenoid
ARB switch location
So yeah, I liked the old Colorado / Canyon. I would build a new one if I had room in the garage for it, and didn't need the full size truck I replaced my last Canyon with for hauling a camper.

They will be coming out with a ZR2 in about a year and a half with a true Raptor Baja suspension with the 4 cylinder TurboDiesel.
