That said, I went the other direction finally....was in BG when I called the 800 number late yesterday afternoon, dealer shows me in D status as of this morning, and I have me a VIN# to match my VON#.

Beyond that, I think Beel_MT and myself were caught in somewhat of a midwest bias...in that nobody in the rural midwest seemed to be able to get Rubicons in any timely fashion.
When I had done my search last night thinking I was gonna be driving this weekend to make a deal elsewhere, the closest Rubicon I found was 623 miles from me, one way.

Well after waiting over 5 months I took Jeff's advice and placed a second order with a different dealer yesterday. There is a chance this dealer can push the order and get it moving along. We'll just have to wait and see.
Of course now with the paint color changes I have another potential scenario. Maybe neither order will go to 'D' status in the next couple of weeks and DC will simply cancel both orders.

here's hoping you have luck with one of them getting your Rescue Green one through Beel_MT, that would be the ultimate suck....5 months wait to not get your Jeep at all because they discontinued the color.
