Check the Status of your Jeep JK Wrangler - Order Status Codes

So as the months tick along here, I start wondering....when does Jeep stop making 2007s and start making 2008s...and if your 2007 is still in BG....will it get switched to a 2008?
Not seriously, but the wait is a killer.
I am beginning to wonder if I misunderstood my dealer when they told me 6-8 weeks, and that they really said 6-8 months.

The "last" word they had gotten was a material hold on the hard top...the district rep was "promising" he/she could get my Jeep built if I would just switch to a soft top and buy a hard top later.
I gave him/her the chance to make good on that promise IF he/she could guarantee that my dealer could order me a hard top and get it priced to me at what I could order the dual top option for now...the dealer has STILL not heard boo from said district rep on the answer to that question.

I originally ordered my Rubicon with dual tops. In early December I cancelled the dual top and went soft top only. Changing my order did nothing for my status. I was in BG and I'm still in BG.
The only option at this point is the towing package. I don't have power doors, no my-gig, no smokers group, no tint...nothing else. It's a basic Unlimited Rubicon with towing package.
If the hold up is simply because of hard tops then someone needs to look behind their desk for a lost order form.

Didn't say I "believed" the smoke being blown my way Beel, just was stating what they were being "told" and relaying it on to me.
I think you and I made the mistake of:
1) being in the rural midwest
2) not going hundreds, if not thousands of miles to buy from a larger dealer
