Make sure you buy it from Mc D's I heard that it comes with and instant rebate if you put it between you legs. Plus I hear they pay really well to have the upholstery cleaned

I called DCX today I finally have my jeep built and it's sitting in toledo. I called my dealer today and he say's it's sitting on a rail car waiting to leave and that it will take 2 weeks to get here. estimated delivery the 24th. that stinks. Hopefully he is just full of it and wants to have it sitting on his lot for a couple day's before i come pick it up. I will definitely be checking to make sure he isn't showing it off. If it is the 24th when i get it that means that i had to wait just over 15 weeks. I really don't have much hair on my head but I'm not going to have any in two weeks.

I made D status today.
Ordered 11-11.
Guess I'm looking at another 3 weeks for delivery?
4dr. Sahara, Jeep Green, dual tops, side air bags,
limited slip, tow, automatic
Can one of you new car veterans comment
on the vehicle pick-up process and additonal $ add-ons.
My final deal was for $31,400 including tax, tax, title.
Anything else or should that be it?
Thanks

I have been watching this thread for a couple of weeks now and I thought that I would jump in and give my 2 cents worth.
I ordered my 4dr RED ROCK RUBI mid November from a Dave Smith Motors in Kellog Idaho. My salesman/dealer there is the only salesman/dealer that was honest enough to tell me that it could be 14 weeks or more to get my JK. Knowing this going in makes it as little easyer to swallow the delay's. He also informed me that as far as he knew the factory shut down for two week's at Thanksgiving and two week's at Christmas. If this is accurate then that would account for an additional 4 weeks added on to everyone's build. There honesty is one of the reason's I went with them. The other is the price . All the other dealers would only sell the 4dr RUBI at full retail price. NO deal's at all!! I have to get a deal or I wont buy. I got my RED ROCK RUBI for Around $29.000 . The other dealers in the area wanted about $4000 more for a RUBI with the same equiptment. I checked yesterday and I am in D status. I think that it has been there for a while because I have had a VIN# since the day I ordered it.I think the dealer must have had it on order for stock already or they would not have had a VIN# .

He's right. Dave Smith is known for great pricing in about a 500 mile radius of Kellog. The downside is you may not build a dealer relationship and get product support if you need it down the road. My friend purchased a car there last year and he lives in Portland, Oregon- so he had to fight it out with a local dealer in Portland for his follow-up work. But for some people that's the only place they'll buy a vehicle because it's a price driven process and because of it Dave Smith sells a boat load of cars.

Good news - The JK I ordered is sitting right outside of my apartment.
Bad news - It's not really mine yet. Turns out my dealership yanked my chain on the financing and now is trying to screw me out of about $200 a month.
I'll be working on the financing tomorrow but I am not a happy camper. There's a good chance I walk away from this and just wait until the 08's come out. That way, I get the MyGig and hopefully UConnect will be added to the Wrangler.
Also, my life has changed dramatically since I ordered this 2 months and that extra $200/month may hurt too much.
Word of advice: Get your financing setup BEFORE you order.
If anyone is in the DFW area looking for a Red Rock Sahara w/ soft top and auto, there may just be one available very soon.
This was supposed to be a great day for me and it's sucked in every way.

What about taking their financing, (make sure there is no prepayment penalty) and then getting your own somewhere else. (online???) Then go pay theirs off. Not sure of the whole situation, just trying to help. Here is what I did...I put a deposit down, told them I was bringing my own financing. They gave me a week or so to bring in a check but I had to sign like a contingent loan in case I didn't bring in my own it would revert to their higher rate loan. A week later I should up, and handed them a check, no problem.
