LOL, I'm sensing an increasing frustration level in most posts, which mirrors my own frustration. I've been waiting for a new Wrangler for 7 years now, and I finally have it ordered, but this wait is getting more and more difficult to tolerate. I've dreamed of all the mods I plan to do for so many nights now before I go to sleep, they've become boring. That is just wrong.
I totally agree that DC is dropping the ball here, and losing respect and customers. This kinda backs me up into a corner. I reward good customer service with high tips, repeat business, etc... I also punish bad customer service with boycots, paying more at other businesses with better service, and no tips. But this is a different ballgame. If I cancel my order, I lose my Jeep. Anything else I get will not match the JK despite its flaws. I would always wonder and regret not waiting like "a good little meek customer." This is just not right, we should have more rights. I'm starting to lose my cool here, and I don't do that as often as I used to. It feels good to vent, but we really should be able to do something here. We need a revolt of some sort!!

I know this is going to get me yelled at, but what do you expect with a brand knew platform. They aren't the first manufacture in the world to be a little slow off the start.

SpudRacer...
Good to hear from ya SpudRacer its been a while. I think you ordered around the same time as me and I just got word that my truck is in KZR status which I guess means in transit.
Your right though, for a while there my posts were negative and I was getting frustrated.
Good luck with yours, keep the order.....you've waited this long...right???

Are you kidding???
They had tens years to get it right!! Delivery delays of double their qouted worst case. Quality issues that may be unrivaled. They've got us by the short hairs and they kown it. Folks are holding on for the unit's capability but there are options. I will be canceling my order at fouteen weeks and start another Bronco rebuild. That will be two lost sales that I know of. As for your quote, having a land rover in the driveway is better than my deposit in the dealers bank account and a bare spot in the driveway. When Daimler sells Chrysler to rid itself of the liability, you will understand how bad they have become. PS - the FJ we purchased is both fun and safe. We can't go topless but we can go.

I do not think there has been another vehicle introduced with the amount of pre-sold custom orders that have been experienced on the Jeep Wrangler. That has to account for something.
I may be in a lot worse situation than any of you actually waiting for your Jeep to come. I have 20-25 people who are waiting on their vehicles to arrive, many who have had them on order since the beginning. I can't be mad at them for contacting me every day to see if something has changed. I am jsut thankful for those that know this situation is beyond my control, and wait for updates from me. It is not fun to tell someone to expect their Jeep in 4-5 months. I have lost several sales due to that, and rediculess promises by other dealers that they can get it in 4-8 weeks for them. It all comes down to truths...they messed up on their "predicted" sales ratios, they have some supplier issues, they have had lower than normal levels of QC issues.
The same thing happened the first couple years of the Rubicon TJ. But people waited and waited, and then got their vehicles. In the end the whole situation was forgoten.
I don't doubt for a second that your FJ is fun and safe. I was very excited about the return, but disapointed in the outcome. Was hoping for something a little more capapble off road. They do have a nice engine in them though.
Did you hear about the new marketing campa ign for the JK's?

Glad you caught that. I was looking at the orders this morning and missed that. Yours was 1 of only 2 that moved forward. Congrats!
