Called today and my baby is in KZ status!! They said it should arrive sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Called my dealer and left a message. Hopefully he'll call back and have some more specific news.

Stick with it guys!

Default I might be out of purgatory....almost

Well it seems to be happening (again) dealer called me just now and told me the "hold" has been lifted and the scheduled delivery is Monday January 8th almost 3 months after I ordered.

I will be cautiously optimistic until I hear its sitting at the dealer.

I have been one of the biggest complainers about the JK production issues, I'll post pics when I get it

Default More Crap

This is more crap Jeff. DC started sales of this vehicle long before they were able to work out the bugs and provide a high probability of accurate delivery dates. I went from a 4-6 week lead to 8-10, then 10-12and now 12-14. Ask yourself why Toyota just went to number three in US sales. They are efficient and do their best to keep the customer happy. They are not perfect, but keep their site is on that goal. DC treats the customers like mushrooms. Total disconnect. I feel like it's the 70's and 80's again when the US auto builders had a great view of their colons. I didn't know "it's a Jeep thing" started with poor customer service. While the JK appears to be a fun vehicle, DC has already lost one sale from my family and at the 14 week delay point, a second sale will be lost. I appreciate your response to the many requests for information but you alone will never make up for the serious flaws of DC. Poor planning and engineering will destroy any manufacturer.

I understand how it is, but I still would rather wait for a Jeep than have a Land Cruiser sitting in my driveway.

Default 4.10 Rear End in All Auto Trans?

When I ordered my Sahara Unlimited with the auto Transmission the dealer told me it would come with a 3.21 unless I ordered a tow package. I see on window stickers it says:
4-Spd. Automatic VLP 42RLE Trans $ 1,180
Transmission Skid Plate
All 4-Speed Automatic Transmissions
4.10 Axle Ratio

Is this in fact true?

I have also noticed this the last couple of times I have called. They have been very short and tell me to refer to my dealer for any further updates. My Dealer called me last week and said that my jeep is actually built but their is a hold on it for tires I'm just going to stop thinking about in until it finally arrives.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I stopped thinking about it too. I ordered my Unlimited Rubicon on 9/26 and stayed in BG until 12/7. After a week in BX, went back to BG until January 2nd. Now it is in BX again. It will get here when it gets here I guess...

Happy New Year....
