Default Explanation and Update

WRANGLER
(JKJL72)(w/23S & 24 S) Wrangler X 4x4 Sched. Out Jan.
(JKJP72)(w/24G) Wrangler Sahar a 4x4 Sched. Out Jan.
(JKJS72) Wrangler Rubicon 4x2 Sched. Out Jan.
(JKJS74) Wrangler Unlimited Rubi con 4x4 Sched. Out Jan.
(JK---74)( w/ VK -or AE M) Wrangler 4Door with Hard Top TBD

Here is the update as of today. This information is from a newsletter provided daily from the factory called the "Daily News". It lists production restrictions and updates on available options. Scheduled Out January means that their production capacity is full for that particular vehicle/model/package either due to lack of parts or a full production schedule. In the case for the Rubicon models, all packages are scheduled out. On the others only select packages are scheduled out.

The Hard Top is listed as an option restriction. Usually they give us a date that the item will be available again. In this case we are playing a waiting game.

Sometimes I will refer to something as being "built out". That is just an internal industry term which means the same thing as scheduled out.

The Daily News is updated daily and is reset (all restrictions removed) each month and then added to as things are built out. Sometimes they will have enough orders in the system that a particular model/package can be listed as scheduled out on the first day of the month.

What does all this mean? If you have not gone to D status as of today, and your model/package is listed above, or you have a hard top on order, then your next chance to get your order allocated will be the first Monday of January, which would be for February scheduling and build dates.

(JKJS72) Wrangler Rubicon 4x2 Sched. Out Jan.

Is DC actually going to be making a Rubicon 2WD?

I read that too, and did a double take, but then talked myself into thinking they were really just talking about a 2 dr 4x4, and it was an aweful description only.

That is really odd. How can it be a Rubicon if it doesn't have all the hardware specific to that version?

It doesn't make any sense. Very confusing.

Good call. That does make sense, that could certainly be what their description means.

I was about to blow a valve trying to work that one out. It's like looking at a M.C. Escher painting.

The daily news is hand typed and there are usually small mistakes like that due to all the codes and such. Just a typo people, nothing to be alarmed about.

They did the same thing a while back and it showed an option that was supposed to be available November of 2006 as being released in November 2007. They usually catch the error and update it by the next Daily News.

Default Where's the bash head against wall emoticon?

Ok

Talked to my dealer. Despite the 800#'s assurance that my baby shipped on 12/4/06 it has in fact NOT shipped. There is a "hold" on it.

My dealer is trying to contact the regional rep to get an update.

This is more frustrating than having it sit in "pre completion" status In my opinion. Its built, ready to go and nobody seems to know why its not here.

I have no faith that I will be driving this in 2006.

I'm going to stop thinking about it and enjoy the holidays then begin worrying about it in January.

UPDATE: The regional Rep said it is in a hold and they wouldn't tell my dealer why (if i'm to believe that) aparently the Reg. Rep. told them that they don't want to create a "frenzy" by broadcasting the problem. My dealer's guess is the hardtop but he can't be sure. He told me whatever the problem the reg. rep said it was a quick fix and should be done by now and shipping soon then 3-4 days to get to the dealer. Dealer hopes it will be here in 2006 but said to prepare for the beginning of January.

Is this happening to anyone else? Jeff from Don-a-vee.....is this something you have come across before???
