Thanks for the reply. That makes sense. I think at this point I am just going to wait a few more days to see what happens. If it doesn't show up by the middle of next week I will start to push for more info. No reason to stress myself out over something that is beyond my control.

Just got a call from my salesman, my Jeep arrived last night and I'll be going to the dealer tomorrow evening to finish all the paper work. Then I'll be able to pick it up Wednesday or Thursday, needless to say I'm excited!

Ordered my Jeep from dealer - 2/22/12
1st e-mail - "received your order/building and delivering parts for assembly" - 3/6/12
2nd e-mail -"production is scheduled/tracking number" - ???
3rd e-mail - "vehicle in shipment" - ???
I was hoping for a 5~6 week wait until delivery but, based on the flow of information so far and other peoples wait times, it seems I may be in the 7~8 week time frame. I'm now thinking i'll see delivery around the 2nd week in April at 7 weeks.
It's funny, I never understood how people could be so impatient on the forums waiting for a vehicle to be built, but now......damn, it really is like time has slowed to a crawl.

When I ordered it the dealer said that a restriction was placed on production (not sure what exactly) just 2 days earlier. So his original quoted 6 week delivery went to 3 months.
Called the the toll free number and they had no updates.
Where does everyone get this D, D1 status etc. The link the dealer gave me jeep.com/vots doesnt show categories like that.

And when I called the 877 number they said the estimated shipping date is 3/31/12. From what I read on all these posts, this is really fast compared to others.. How long does shipping usually take? Anyone know information?

Not sure how long shipping takes to Pennsylvania. I suspect it may be a bit less than California which is about 10 days. Also, depends on whether it comes rail or truck...
Mine was finally shipped but I'm not sure where it is in the process...it could still be in the rail yard in Toledo. It went from Production on Friday to shipped on Tuesday. VOTS is unreliable. Customer Service is better. After it is shipped, they will give you an expected delivery day (but it's only an estimate).
