Ordered 12/2

Went to "D" today ( 12/12 )

I ordered an Unlimited Rubicon, Red Rock with Grey Interior, Auto, Dual Tops, loaded out with everything currently available minus the Side Airbags and Smoker's Group.
On behalf of myself, and the rest of my waiting brethren who have been waiting 9+ weeks (some probably even at 15-20 weeks) in BG-BX status for an unlimited Rubicon, allocation or not, that is just plain screwed up.

Grats on your luck, but at DMC for having such a frakked up system.

I was really not expecting to see D status until early to late February from what I was told by both dealers I ordered from. I have no clue why mine went through so quick.

I did place 2 orders for exactly the same Jeep from 2 different dealers on the same day. My VON numbers are only 159 numbers apart. One of those 2 orders is still in BG status. Mind you this was EXACTLY the same order; color, options, everything. I'll be interested to see what the delivery difference is between the two.

Well earlier in the week I had moved to BX but my dealer checked and I've gone back to BG as of this morning. Looks like no VIN for me anytime soon.

My financing will expire Friday so he said he'd keep an eye on it through tomorrow afternoon, but neither of us are holding our breath.

It's interesting that this dealer doesn't appear to be getting any allocations. I'm at the top of their list, they have other orders but I don't know how many, but they all ordered after I did.

Beel

Soft top and tow package, nothing else. You couldn't get any more basic.

Seems some people double order from 2 different dealers - Logically, this would back up the system and delay others orders. Especially if the 2 dealers had allocation - People who ordered earlier from a dealer with little allocation will wait longer.

Would not delay anyone except other people ordering from the same dealer. They would have to wait in line.

Sold orders only get priority for that single dealership. They do not take priority over other dealers orders or allocation.

Thanks, Jeff.

But I wonder how many of the 59,000 orders are double or tripple orders.

News from the Grim Jeeper :

WRANGLER
(JKJL72)(w/24C) Wrangler X 4x4 Sched. Out Jan.
(JKJS74) Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4x4 Sched. Out Jan.
(JK-----)(w/VK- or AEM) Wrangler with Hard Top TBD

I am told that the factory will be closed for the next 2 weeks. Don't expect many changes on any orders. The hard top issue will probably not be straightened out until after January allocations are filled. That means that you will probably not get scheduled if you have a hard top on order. From what I hear there were a total of 450 Wrangler Unlimited's allocated for January Allocation on Monday the 11th. I got lucky and received 21 of these. If the info I received was correct that would leave 429 for the rest of the US dealers. No word on if there will be an allocation period next week. Will find out first thing Monday morning the 18th.

Based on the info above, you have a good chance of getting your vehicle scheduled for January build if you meet the 3 following criteria:

1. Your Unlimited on order is not a Rubicon
2. You did not order a hard or dual top.
3. Your dealer got at least one 4 door Wrangler allocated. Remeber that sold orders are put at the front of the line for the individual dealer.
