I spoke to my salesman yesterday, he is expecting 2 rubis for a customer who ordered both a stick and an auto to land within weeks. He said the status changed from BX to KZ without showing D.
I told him to call me if he guy takes the auto, and I'll take a look at the stick. Regardless, it is a strong possibility that mine may already be on the assembly line, but not showing an update.
I wish we could call the number and find out status like US folks. Canadians get shafted on stupid stuff like this and it is annoying.

As you've done with most everyone here, you've dismissed each of my possibilities as the rants of a fool.
Okay. Guilty.
Still, and foolish or not, it SEEMS to make sense to figure out WHY this is happening to some, and not to others. And again, I await any useful input from you on the subject . . . something more productive than "That's the way it is, so bend over and take it."
I've never been a huge fan of advice like that. . . .

Those questions have been answered, supported by facts with sources such as national media articles quoting Chrysler, Toledo plant insiders, currently employed salespeople, and those with 20+ years experience managing assembly plants and dealerships. Those facts are updated regularly in this thread, to keep the production #'s and the wait times for orders current. I and a handful of others respond to posts using these facts, to save the new people from having to read through the 270+ pages of this thread just to get quick answer.
This thread doesn't benefit from your uninformed, nonfactual, suggested "possibilities" because you guys in Ely, MN are as far removed from the assembly plant in Toledo, OH as Hillary Clinton is to the Porn Industry. You live at the gateway of one of the most beautiful places on earth, the BWCAW. I'm sure you can find a way to positively contribute to this forum if you stick to the things you know.
Whether you bend over or take it like a man, like it or not, the answer is simple: There are ~30,000 orders for a model that is produced at a rate of 15,000 a month. There are ~12,000 orders for a model that is produced at a rate of 1500 a month. So, some orders will be filled in 2 months, while others will take 8 months.

Seeking an answer to the question "why does it take as long as it does for a JK order to be built" is certainly reasonable.

You know, this is getting old. Both of you need to knock this shit off, and act like adults. If someone has credible info, then post it. If someone else doesn't like that info, then don't read it. No one is forced to come here, and if you don't like what you see, then leave. Don't sit here and annoy the rest of us with your childish banter. The wait is hard enough without internet pissing contests... we come here to help each other get through it, not to sit here and listen to this dribble...

I couldn't agree more!!!!
Maybe we should start a new post " JK pissing contest " lol
I would just like to say thank you to everybody, who has posted valuable information. I ordered my 08 Jk X, 6 speed, Air, Tow Package, sound package, side steps, soft top, half doors, red rock on Oct 13 07. I was quoted the standard 6 - 10 weeks. After finding this forum and then this post I freaked out. I really want mine by x-mas, After reading everything here I am still optimistic but have also come to the realization that it may be the new year before I see her. I too am one of the poor Canadians that can't call DC, I have to count on my sales person. I gave her a call on Monday of this week and she said I am in D status!!! Which is good I think? So far their 6 - 10 week time line looks plausible. I am very satisfied with my sales rep! However she did say that she can only check the system on Mondays. I don't understand that! But hey I will be emailing her for my status update on Monday, what is waiting a few days in the grand scheme of things?
For all of you that have been waiting so long and continue to wait, I feel for you! I have only been waiting 2 weeks and it is already killing me!!!
Thanks again everyone
The crazy Canadian that went with a soft top and half doors!!! ( Oh ya, Winter he says!!!)

Called again today. I guess I'll never learn. Still in I'' status and the status hadn't been updated since 10/22. The CS rep didn't know why and seemed genuinely puzzled. He said try again on Monday. Now I status = Built but not OK'd in the first page of this thread. So it's possible it failed inspection yet I don't see a code for that so if there was a problem would there be any update to status? Maybe they haven't inspected it yet. Any idea to how long QC normally takes? I haven't read this entire thread but I have read a good portion of it and never saw anyone get stuck on I. Lucky me!

well.. today's the day.
After much deliberation, I finally placed my order today for a Steel Blue, 2-door, hard-topped Sahara. I know it'll probably be quite a while, but I'm a patient man.. this thread isn't too scary. It feels good to finally have made my move.

I placed my order for a X Unlimited on Oct/4 and drove it home yesrerday. It's on jack stands, no wheels and missing various other suspension items tonight. Hopefully I'll have my lift and tires on by this time tomorrow. Good luck to everyone that's still waiting.
