OK - My turn to celebrate!
30-Jul-07 BG
05-Sep-07 D
17-Oct-07 D-1
25-Oct-07 KZM
115 Days
17 Weeks
3 Months, 23 days
True, not in my hands – yet. But on the rail car heading to Arizona. Better than the “D” no-mans land (“no-persons land” more PC?).
Since most of the posts don’t specify what exactly is ordered, here’s my specs:
Rubicon Unlimited, Rescue Green, every option except MyGig.
Hang in there! It only seems like forever.

I was inspired to call again today, against my better judgement and I'm officially in D1 limbo. I'm familiar with BG and BX limbo, but haven't heard of D1 limbo. Scheduled to ship 10/27 still according to DC, but not even built yet since going D1 on 10/18, which leaves them tomorrow if it's gonna ship on time.

I too called against my better judgment and I'm in I limbo w/ no change to my ship date of 10/22. I'm thinking that something is up with the Line or maybe the system isn't being updated and we are just seeing frozen status. Has anyone seen movement in the last 3 days?

I just ordered my Rubicon Unlimited on 10/03/07. I shopped 4 dealers and the wait times I was quoted ranged from one dealer saying 9-12 months, another said 6-9 months, The dealer I ordered from said 8-12 weeks, most likley 12 weeks, they also gave me a great price. I had looked on here before I ordered and thought I was prepared for the wait. This Jeep is just a second vechical for us. But now that I made the move and ordered, the wait is tough. I went to BX for two weeks then back to BG, I started to get hopeful when I see some folks getting there jeeps in 8 weeks. Oh well

QUOTE=Zee;215359]My dealer said 8 weeks, I'm almost at 4 months.[/QUOTE]
I would say this is the most common occurrence. The dealer (or perhaps the salesman) quoting a turnaround time that will not, cannot be met. Anyone else with a similar tale?
Mine quoted 4-6 weeks at first. Having already been on this list for awhile, I asked them to check their information. They later suggested 8 weeks as a more realistic time frame, which I'm fine with. As noted, I'm lucky to have a dealership - Mike Motors in Ely, Minnesota - who seems to be trying, at least, to do things in an ethical way.
"Minnesota Nice" at its very best, and everyone does better, when everyone does better.
Oh, and "Ghostship?" I've never stated "supposition as fact", as you recently charged. Nope, I've only commiserated with the unlucky ones here, trying my best to understand WHY some are left waiting while others are out driving their new Jeeps. As you've done with most everyone here, you've dismissed each of my possibilities as the rants of a fool.
Okay. Guilty.
Still, and foolish or not, it SEEMS to make sense to figure out WHY this is happening to some, and not to others. And again, I await any useful input from you on the subject . . . something more productive than "That's the way it is, so bend over and take it."
I've never been a huge fan of advice like that. . . .
Duane Behrens, Sahara 2-door soft top, uncomfortably equipped.
