I was D 10/10 got my VIN 10/12 and was told today 10/17 that my build date is 10/27. We'll see! I still haven't gotten a word from my dealer; I got the VIN by calling the 800#. One of these days my dealer will call to tell me he has my VIN# and I'll have to tell him I've had it since 10/12! All they care about is making the sale.

Yep, no dealer help here either. Maybe it's a NJ thing. My dealer is a Jeep only dealer but the sales guy was new.

I'm in a simialr situation, I went to D on 10/1, then was given a build date of 10/30 & VIN on 10/15, but was also told it was in C status. They, Chrysler Customer Service, are looking into it as they had no idea why it went into C.

Waiting for my Sahara Unlimited
I was just told by my sales person that all Saharas are on hold as they ran out of 18" tires, they are to have this resolved by the end of this week.
Thay have promised me that my build should move to D-1 by the 22nd. Anyone have any idea how long it takes from D-1 to a finish status?

Honestly, how do you run out of tires? Of course if they had kept the 17" as standard I would not be in this situation as I did not not want the 18". Oh Well, it's still going to be worth the wait.

OK friends - I've kept my fingers crossed for everyone else and now I'm asking for some return favors!!
Called DC today for a sooner-than-usual status check and couldn't believe my ears... "D-1 status with a SHIP date of 10/27!" I said "are you sure the system's showing a ship date and not a build date?", she said "SHIP date of10/27." Wow. I don't know what to say..... it's been 16 weeks since I ordered

Why all the questioning about Ship Dates and Build Dates? You guys do realize that it only takes a day to build a JK, right? I've had a Rubicon go from E status to sitting on the dealer's lot in 2 1/2 days.
If you've got a Ship date, you're JK is scheduled to be built. This is the point of the order process where you can relax and stop worrying.
