All of your dealer's Aug/Sept orders may have gone to D status, because they had available allocations. That does not mean that every order in the country/world from Aug/Sept are now in D status. There are people on this very site that can confirm that their orders are still in B status.

I’m starting to go crazy 
waiting for my Jeep like swapmonster was awhile back.
I am spending way tooooo much time reading this forum.
So I'm packing up the kids, a bottle of scotch and a few cigars and going camping.
On Monday I will call my dealer to find out wtf :confused: an “R” status is.

well i think mine is finally in 
i cant wait.... saw one similar to mine in the dealers backyard so i hope to et tuesday since the bank is closed tomorrow 
Columbus would of wanted me to explore in my new jeep!

For all of the 2008 model owners / almost owners who have ordered within the last few months...... how long did you guys wait in "D" status before you moved to "D-1"?
Has anyone ever gone backwards from D status.. back to BX or BG??
Too lazy to read back though all these posts to figure it out.

You shouldn't worry about going backwards now. That was only a problem for the orders that were backed out near the end of the 2007 Model Year production schedule, then re-scheduled as 2008 orders.

Picking Up My Jk Today!!!!
For the record, it is not the one I ordered. I received a call from the dealership back in September that they were receiving a Sahara Unltd in the color I ordered but LOADED. I jumped on it as my order was still in BG status after 4 months. The wait is finally over! Good luck to everyone waiting.

well i ordered my sahara july 27th. i pick it up at dealer 1pm october 9th. 74 days since i ordered and i tell ya it is worth the wait. i cant wait to play around with the mygig and just drive around tomorrow afternoon!

I ordered on June 8, went to D before the 1st day of 2008 production, and D-1 on day 2 of 2008 production. Then, after getting a VIN number, was moved back to C, because of materials shortages. I guess that they had all of the materials when I went to D-1, then the MyGig shortage hit, and I was moved back to C. My original ship date was Aug 2, I received it towards the end of Sept, when materials were finally available.
