yea it is a unlimited Rubi.....but honestly I don't see why it being a Rubi should change anything, they seem to be getting the 2 door Rubi's out with out any problem, all the parts that make the Rubi are the same no matter how many doors it has....

I've thought the same thing. If they can build a 4 Door X and a 2 Door Rubicon why can't they build a 4 Door Rubicon?

Like I said, at least everyone who ordered the 4 door Rubicon is in the same boat. It would really be frustrating to see orders that came later being built and shipped out.

Of course I'm in the 3 strikes club as well...Rubicon - 4 Door - Freedom Top.

Congratulations to everyone that is getting their Jeep though. It's nice to see someone enjoying their's.

As for the 2dr vs. 4dr Rubicons, I think we get the double whammy on this.

Since it was noted earlier on the thread they were configured to push 75% 2drs and 25% 4drs early on, the production for 4drs was simply not there.

Couple that with part issues for Rubicons, and you can either:
1) sit on the part, and wait to slap it on one of the few(er) 4drs going out

2) put them on the 2drs right away and ship them out sooner, and get them on 4drs as they can.

Hence, I think those of us who have chosen a 4dr Rubicon are just gonna have to wait an extra long time to see our new babies.

I ordered my 4dr Sahara w/ hard top on 11/1. On 11/13 it was in BX. I called today and it's still in BX...the wait is torture...

Default Disappointment Almost Complete

I ordered a black 2dr Rubicon 10-11-06 as a Christmas present. It went to D status 10-16-06 and hasn't moved since. Without a change, on 12-1-06 my order will be canceled and a FJ will be purchased for a departing college student. We will both be disappointed but after tracing the quagmire called JEEP, the Toyota is a logical alternative with a high probability of successful ownership. No soft top but no serious issues. Sorry Jeep, call me in five years.
My thanks to everyone on this forum for a free education. I will use the info gained in another manner.

I contacted my dealer in late August
I gave my dealer what I wanted 9/10
I sold my 97 TJ
They ordered my Unlimited 10/4 - while I watched.
BG status on 10/27
BX status on 11/6
D status on 11/14
I sold my 04 GC - I am now riding my motorcycle to work.
D1 Status on 11/21 - I have a VIN!
All DC could tell me is it is scheduled to be built in Dec.
It might just be here before 2007.
I hope we have a warm winter.
