I feel your pain man. I just talked to Jeff from Don-A-Vee yesterday and it looks like there's no way I'll be seeing my JK until late January to early February now.

It is sad that so many orders are in the system and so few vehicles are coming out of the plant.
The rumor is that the DaimlerChrysler did not think the 4 door, especially in a Rubicon model, would be sucha big hit. They are now trying to transition to a position which would allow them to build 75% 4 door and 25% 2 door models as they move into 2007.

so is there some type of hold up on the 4 door Rubi's ?? I mean there are others on this site who orderd 2 door Rubis on dates after mine and have already gone to D1 or are actualy being deliverd. why are they not building the 4 door's ??
I just called today and mine is still in "D" status BTW it was orders on Sept 19 and I believe it went to D shortly after that...

Well, the "upside" of waiting until January (or shudder later) for delivery of my 4dr Rubicon will be I will end up needing to actually finance very little on this, as each month that I wait, I chunk another block of $$$ towards the cash for it.
I think I would rather eat a little interest and be driving it now, but I guess that is a positive, financing less on it...I gotta have something positive to feel good about waiting for it

Thanks a lot.

Nothing to worry about.
I fixed the post I made above to reflect that...

Well I'm one step closer. My order moved to "D" status yesterday.
If I make any changes to my order at this time, will it cause a delay?
My dealer was upfront with me when I placed the order mid September. He said delivery might be as late as December. It does'nt make the waiting any easier.
