Here's most of the status codes with their meanings:

BA - order just placed by dealer, not reviewed by factory
BB - review by fleet department (Fleet Orders Only)
BD - special equipment processing (Fleet Orders Only)
BE - edit error (Conflict with Options Ordered)
BG - passed edit n/a for schedule
BGL - edit ok parts unavailable
BX - passed edit available for schedule (Means you have a good order that can be scheduled if allocated)
C - sub firm
D - firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available (Scheduled for Build)
D1 - gateline schedule (Production Has Begun)
E - frame
F - paint
G - trim
I - built not ok'd (Not Inspected Yet)
J - built ok'd (Passed Quality Control)
JB - shipped to body vendor (Fleet Orders)
JE - emission check
JS - shipped to storage
(Can be due to shipping availability delays or due to possible problems that need to be fixed/adjusted on the vehicle)
KZ - released by plant, invoiced (Dealer has now received the true invoice)
KZL - released - not shipped
KZM - first rail departure
KZN - first rail arrival
KZO - delayed/received
KZOA - plant holds
KZOB - zone/distribution holds
KZOC - carrier delays
KZOD - carrier holds
KZOE - mis-shipped vehicle
KZOF - show/test vehicle
KZOG - damaged vehicle
KZOH - all other reasons
KZT - second rail departure
KZU - second rail arrival
KZX - delivered to dealer (Now on the dealer lot)
ZA - canceled (Means the dealer canceled the order)

Once you have a VIN you can call:

DaimlerChrysler Customer Assistance Center (800) 992-1997 (Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM) and get periodic status updates!

And once it gets to KZM status, your dealer should have a railcar number. If it's moving via Union Pacific Railroad (should have a railcar number that starts with TTGX followed by 6 numbers), you can go to the UPRR railcar tracing website ( http://c01.my.uprr.com/pet/motorVehicleTrace.jsp ) and follow it's progress across the states to your location.

Am also in D status as of 2/21 hoping to move soon almost glad that my new black Rubi will miss the snow, sleet, salt, mud that is Chicagoland, I'll let my '97 Wrangler Sport do all the dirty work. Saw a rescue green unlimited 4 dr soft top the other day on the road...I was a shameless gawker...waiting is a practice in patience. Anyone out there receive delivery of a mygig yet.

The end is getting near for me....KZL as of noon today.....maybe even enough time to be loaded on a train yet today or tomorrow and start its journey west....its only gotta get through part of Ohio, all of Indiana and Illinois to get to me....maybe another week or so once its on the train....could actually have this by the end of the month yet
