I Ordered my Sahara Unlimited on 10-16-06 and it is still in BG Status. I have a feeling I'll be pretty cold when I try out the Freedom Top, I'm guessing Late Nov/DEcember. Dealer thinks I'll get it this month. We'll see.

yea sounds like your dealer is blown smoke up your a$$....from the sounds of things you'll be lucky to see it end of Dec. but more than likely jan, if you look back a couple pages you'll see Jeff from Don A Vee tell someone in the same status you are that realisticly they should be lookin for jan..

Got some potentially good news today from my salesman. I sent e-mail and asked about the allocation of the order, as mentioned by Jeff.

My order was placed 30 Sept. and it was a dealer allocation. They gave us a copy of the order sheet so I know it went in on that day.

So I guess I can assume that if they decide to throw the switch on the Rubi’s production line that I might not have too much longer to wait?

I’d like to call and check the status again, but maybe I’ll wait. The operators are always very friendly but they seem to make a point of saying, “It’s in BG status, just like the last time you called…” They need an online site to check status.

I hate to put a damper on the party....but...

If it was an allocated order it would have been put into D status on the day that allocation was finalized. Allocation is issued on Monday and is finished up on Wednesday. So if it was not put in D status on the wednesday following the monday allocation, then the dealer does not know what they are talking about.

In your case the order was placed on Saturday the 30th of September. The dealer got their next allocation on Monday, october 2nd. The Allocation would have been finanlized on Wednesday, October 4th. Your vehicle, if allocated, would have moved to D status on Wednesday, October 4th.

I ordered my Unlimited Rubi on July 29th and it's still in BG. So I won't be seeing it till December at the earliest?

Haha, no I don't hate your honesty. I appreciate all of the help you have been to everyone.

So regardless of whether there was a materials restriction or whatever, the vehicle should have moved into 'D' status that following week?

I'll have to ask my salesman about his. See what he has to say.

As of today they are supposed ot have the 1st allocation for December week 1. There was an email sent to me from the factory that stated they are having problems with system upgrades and will have the allocation at a later time. Don't know if this means later today ro when.

Here is the update today on any holds for December. This will not be good news for many of you:

Thanks for the info. If you are notified from DCX when the allocations are updated would you mind posting an update? I really hope I get a December build but am afraid to call DCX and hear I'm still in BG ... :sad:

I noticed you have the Hard Top Only (VK0) option on your list as "TBD". I hope that's not what's holding up my order since I picked that option. Can't imagine how it would though :confused:

I would say it is TBD because they may be short on Hard Tops. That is why it included Hard Top Only and AEM, which is dual top. Usually when they list TBD it is updated when they are available. It would not be built out for December.

so basically you are saying that if you are not in "d-1" status as of today, you are not getting built in December either?? except the TBD anyway...
