Volume vs Sound Quality
Rather than going for a louder jeep, why not save up for exhaust/intake which makes the jeep sound better? Plus then, you'll see some performance gains as well.

When I was 16 my car (Chev SS) had headers with bolt on glass packs...no pipe whatsoever. Very loud, very "cool.". The problem is that it attracted cops more than it attracted girls.

My father (now retired) was asking the exact same question and is considering a new exhaust just to get more exhaust noise. His complaint is that he can't hear what the engine is doing in relation to his throttle position and occasionally lugs the engine (manual gearbox) becouse of this. Now when I was 16 I had glass packs bolted directly to the headers of my built-up 350 and he though I was too loud. He wants the engine louder (while still sounding good) and the tires quieter. How things change.

Not everyone, as I wasn't one of the people giving him "crap", so you can use a better choice of words please . I merely suggested to remove his stock exhaust, run like that for a while to see how he liked it and/or faired with the cops, and then to put it back on if he didn't like the sound, which in turn avoids cutting and/or modding any parts that would prohibit him from returning fully stock.
