Default Carpet? or no carpet?

So I'm thinking of taking all the carpet out of my jk. Not because I plan on replacing it with linex or anything of that sort. Just because I feel the carpets retain alot of dirt and because they can come off. Can anyone give me any PROS or CONS to removing the carpet? I'd like some insight before i do this. Thanks in advance brothas

Well I have my front carpets out for now. It smells a little nicer in the jeep now(soaked because of rain)

It is A LOT easier to clean up the dirt from the floorboards. Just unplug the drain holes, and spray it down.

Some people say it has gotten louder because of no carpet, but I don't hear a difference.

Just took mine out. Haven't noticed any more noise than usual. I put down some rubber floor mats and am planning on laying some rubber mats in the rear (no back seat).

Pull the carpet and get fitted mats....that's what I did and I love it! Easy to clean like liners and matts retain all of the dirt. Wipe or vacuum or hose. Go for it!

I left the carpet in the front because I figured the tunnel would get pretty hot in the summer. The carpet under the front seats and back is hanging in my garage.

I threw my carpets out a long time ago becuase they were so mouldy. I took out the drain plugs last summer to hose out the inside of the jeep and those haven't gone back in either.

I plan to put the plugs back in for the summer becuase hot air gets blown through them.

I plan to bedline the inside if it ever freakin stops raining here.
