im confused about the new color matching things on the jk... can you get the body color matching hard top with the black plastic fenders or you have to get both together ?

 

They way I understand it is the matching top and body come on the Sahara models. I've never seen the painted top with plastic fenders. May be something you can request from the dealer but would probably depend on color you choose.
Just go with black and it matches regardless.

 

When I ordered my Rubi, I tried to order one without the other, no dice. They told me you had to order both, even though on the build sheet they are two seperate options with two seperate prices. SO, I sat at their computer and tried to build and order myself, they were correct, it would not allow me to get one without the other. So I got neither

This is what I tried to do as well, matching fenders with a black top. Not allowed unless you are getting the Sahara model. You can get a matching hard top on any model, but if you want matching fenders, you ahve to get both. Sorry if I confused. Thanks

The dealership closest to me has a 2012 Rubicon with a color matched top and black fenders, so I would think that it would be possible to order it that way.

 

Yeah and since pamountian biker has one its sure you can order one like that

 

You can order a matched hard top without matched fenders, but you cant order matched fenders without a matched hard top
