Default Can I watch my Jeep being assembled?

I work at John Deere, we have a thing called Gold Key Customers. They come in for the day and watch there tractor being built from unpainted frame parts to driving it off the line. They are a encouraged to participate in certain parts of the assembly process and are the first to drive the finished product off the assembly line. I would love to do this for the new JK I ordered. Has anyone here ever done anything like this? This will be my 4th jeep in 16 years but the first I custom ordered.

Not happening. The only program I know of is with GM. You can build your engine for a Z07 or a Z08 Corvette.

Tiffin offeres the same thing, you can go and watch your motorhome being built. I believe Jeeps are probably assembled mostly by robotics, so it would be a huge liability to have folks wandering around as a machine slaps them together! Of course, you and your new Jeep could really bond, literally!

I doubt that car assembly lines are much different then tractor assembly lines. The photos I've seen of the Toledo plant look very familiar to where I work.

Default Factory tour

I actually calld customer service back in May to try and get on the line to see mine get built. The woman was very nice and even asked around for me a bit but ultimately got an answer similar to the email you got - no. Sounds like they've never allowed it at the new Toledo factory. (maybe pre '07)
