Camp Jeep - Passenger Height restriction?
#11
WHOA wait a minute here. I did not mean it that way and you know better. I mean let it go in the sence that it realy does not matter now we all know Camp Jeep is screwing people go back to your happy place no need to crusade here. I personally think it's time to replan the vacation and screw Camp Jeep it's a waste of good time and energy. I seem to recall someone coming to your defense when some people started slamming you in that other post so maybe just maybe you read a lot more into this than there was.
Also I never posted any links but I sure as hell checked them out and I don't recall seeing abything about height restrictions when I checked it out originally.

Just some (hopefully constructive) criticism - you seem like a nice guy, but your tone is pretty harsh.
As far as the Camp Jeep rules, I think that sucks for all of you with little ones. But, I honestly can't see them pulling out the measuring tape and turning people away at the trailhead... And, if that rule wasn't in place at the time of sign-up, I'd consider the "rule" to be more of a "recommendation."
I'm not attending because, as others have wrote, I like to buck the "herd" and play lone wolf... but if I can't convince the wife of the need for a good lift and big tires in the near future, we may go to a Jeep event, just so that my little JK can be "humbled" by some big, bad, 8' tall JK monster... then she'll feel sorry for me and let me get some new toys.

Actually, anyone who is planning to attend Camp Jeep should download "Official Camp Jeep Field Guide" (PDF file): http://www.jeep.com/jeep_life/events...fieldguide.pdf
It gives all the neccessary info/rules incl. the height requirement, pets policy etc.
According to the Guide, there are a lot of rules! "Do not hang anything from your rearview mirror that may obstruct your vision", "No using earphones while operating a motor vehicle, moped, or bike", "Must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license to drive on all trails and courses at Camp Jeep", "Pets are not allowed on-site — or in the parking lot", "Food sales are cash only", "Absolutely no weapons are allowed at Camp Jeep", "Absolutely no alcohol or illegal substances will be permitted at Camp Jeep, on the trails, or in the parking lot", "Smoking is not permitted at Camp Jeep because it is a fire hazard" etc. etc.
And of course, there's "Camp Jeep is not responsible for lost or stolen property"!
The 44" height restriction thing is stated at P.7 (PDF) or P.12, 13 on actual page on the Guide.

OK, so Camp Jeep isn't really a family place. 'Nuff said.
Now, let's all head on down to Only's place. The kiddies can chase chickens and other critters, while the "adullts" watch demonstrations of sticker making and have some campfire coffee & "coffeetalk". Only could wear his Santa suit and we can call it Christmas in Jeep July.
The admission charge is only $395.00 per Jeep.

This is my opinion, and take it or leave it as you choose: You often have good things to say, but your tone is terrible - the stunted sentences come across as angry and caustic, which I'm sure isn't your intention. But you've had to have noticed by now that LOTS of forum users have taken your words the wrong way in various posts... even though you're agreeing with them!

Actually it would be a lot less and the trail ride would be under the power lines however I never said you could be there and take no responsibility for your rig. As far as the Santa Suit in July not happening. It is way too hot to even think about walking outside in that. Heck I am usually warm when others are freezing in winter wear. I would not mind a little company and I know the chickens are good at avoiding getting caught but as I said for the most part I prefer to hang alone. Sticker making is a trade secret and I can not reveal how my super powers get used in this manner.
btw- I hear you on the alone thing. I'm that way myself. Like small, intimate gatherings, but hate big crowds/parties. My wife, the BOSS, gets annoyed because she is quite the schmoozer.

BTW ladies this is not a slam every one of you is perfect for someone just not me as I found mine and locked her away before someone else got her.

I don't know why everyone is flying off the handle getting pissy at Camp Jeep for having a height restriction. If there is a restriction, there's probably is a reason. I am sure they have to have liability of the events they host, probably something in the past or someone stupid in the past has been injured or tried a lawsuit against Camp Jeep because their kid fell out of the Jeep on a trail ride. Yes, I agree they should clearly state it in the brochures and make sure all salespeople know of the rules though, before people plunk their money down. For me 3-5 Jeeps in a group is more than enough to have fun and wheel safely. I hate crowds.
