Buying a used 2008 jk unlimited rubicon
I'm looking for some people's opinions on about what I should pay for a used jku Rubicon.
I went out looking today and I'm surprised how much dealers are charging. I looked at a 6 spd with 38k miles for 29,000. How much negotiating room do I have and what should I be looking for?

Kiplinger estimates Jeep Wrangerlers have a 55% resale value after 3 years - one of the highest around.

It had nav and a hard top but not much else. I wish I was in the market for a 2012 but that's not really an option for me. Anyone buy a used jeep similarly equipped recently and for how much?

Last October I got an '08 4 door rubicon with nav and only 15k miles for $26,900 in completely perfect condition.
You should be able to get them WAY down from their ad price. The new interior and engine only hurts the older Jeeps resale value.
The best deal I found back then(but it got bought out from under me in Pottsville,PA) was an '07 with 30k miles, no nav for $23.5. If you are on this forum, I dislike you.

I'm happy with the responses. Bring them all on. I want to get the best deal I can. I know the price they quoted was way high because I could get a new '11 for the same price from jeep direct
