I work at a Nissan dealer in ca worked for TOYOTA before too. And a car could have many owners and as long as its within factory warrant coverage mi and time it's covered.

... Here is a new twist.
When I first looked over the '09 Rubi from the private party seller he disclosed that his wife was in a minor fender bender where an oncoming car hit the front bumber and did some minor damage. I inspected the bumper, subframe, etc and all was intake except for the minor damage to the front bumper cover.
I pulled the carfox and it shows 'very minor damage'. Now while I am inclined to think, eh it was minor and easily taken care of with some nice new bumpers I am concerned that it will bite me in the rear if / when I go to resell the '09.
Am I over-thinking this...

Thanks again for all the great feedback!
When it was all said and done I ended up purchasing a new 2013 JKU Sport S. Came to the conclusion that I barely drive the one car I had so I did not need 2.
