Wish I didn't get a Rubi, ended up taking off/bending/breaking all the stuff that made it a Rubi. Basically ended up paying twice, my bad.

...could put a Dynatrac 44/60 ...or....Teraflex 60....on the front with lockers.... would hold up better to bigger wheels/tires/hard wheeling...must calculate in install time and $$$

I'm with you. If I would have know back then what I wanted out of my jeep I would have bought an "x". But then again I got my rubi for the same price as an "X".

And I was kinda in your situation with my last rubi...I broke both lockers (replaced with ARB 35 spline) and the stupid sway disco (just put a solid sway in with quick discos). the only thing that could withstand everything I did seemed to be the 44's? my plan with my new one is to build a rubicon but without the cheap parts. I'm never gonna run bigger than a 37 and I'm probably going to get another auto. Just afraid that the 44's with 5.38's will take that much strain on the stock rubi axles ...

I had an 08 X and kept it for 2 yrs before trading it for the rubi. I looked at adding everything to make a better rubi, in the end when you take labour, time, warrenty and everything else i felt better just getting a rubi. have had no problems with either rig and still pleased with my choice. Well considering you flooded the first one, I dont think we need to ask if you wheel it.

In my oppinion it depends on the amount you want to invest. If you can buy an X and turn around and drop $6,000 on it in upgrades, I would go that route. If the funds to mod will be slow to accrue, I would just grab a rubicon and enjoy.

I only got one so I could finance the extras in the car loan. If you have the cash on hand then build your own?

This might help. I'm hoping someone might update it for the 2011.

Rubicon all the way. Auto disco's Dana 44's and the hill decent are all worth it. I haven't had any troubles, And it hasn't been babied.
