That is a consideration.!!

I see it has the heavy duty springs and gas shocks, but no towing package.. If they have one with the towing package too, it will have 3:73 gearing, for off roading that would make a difference. I am planning to go 33s once I wear out the stock tires. Don't need a lift or to re-gear for that seeing as I have the towing package/3:73 gears on my 4 door X.

Default 2012 Unlimited Rubi

Looking at a 2012 Unlimited Rubi..
manual trans
leather trimmed/heated seats
connectivity group
dual tops
max tow
a/c w/ auto temp
engine block heater

Dealer quoted me at $37,603 OTD (sales price 35,876 + 1,727.15 for tax, tag, title and fees)

I used USAA pricing and the dealer told me it costs money to get the jeep from another dealership to his lot...so he tacked $500 onto the USAA price. I am buying in VA (so currently using VA tax, tags, and title). I am military, so does anyone know if the tax, tag, title and fees will be cheaper if I register it in Fl? I am a Florida resident since the military lets you claim any state you have been stationed in.

Any thoughts or opinions would be extremely helpful. If you think it is a fair price or not, and any information about registering the Jeep in Florida vs. Virginia would also be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I'm probably going to get chewed out for this, but...

I just bought my 3rd JK. Had an '06, '09 and now a '12. I don't think that $24000 for a 4 year old JK is a great deal. The mods that are on there are nothing you couldn't do yourself in time. The new Pentastar engines have so much more power than the old 3.8 minivan engine. At least test drive the base model '12's so you can really know what the difference is. More power, better gas mileage.

You can get a new '12 in California with only 5 miles on it for $28k. And that's before haggling. They're trying to make room for the '13's, so now is the time to buy new.
