Bumper with tire carrier or hinge?
Just put in a set of 315s on my 2011. My question is I don't feel confident in the stock spare carrier. Should I get a new rear bumper with tire carrier or get the heavy duty tire carrier that mounts to the gate hinges? I like the idea of the one shot open the gate rather then move the spare then the gate. But not sure how well the hinge mounts hold up.

Really depends on what you prefer, if you want the one opens all, the heavy duty hinge works great, if you don’t mind swinging out the spare before you open the gate, the bumper mount works, either one will hold 315’s, I would not put 315’s on the stock hinges

I think that a quality hinge carrier is better than bumper-mounted any day. Opens with the tailgate, keeps things versatile for you to use whatever rear bumper you want, typically does not rattle like bumper mounted.

Didn’t think about the rattle of a bumper mounted, even though i drive a jeep and have always had older vehicles, a constant rattle can get aggravating

LOD bumper with bumper hinge. Works with opening tailgate. Had mine for 4 years and no rattling of tire or racks.
