My pedal is smooth. I wonder if something isn't "right" with yours

As for the TJ's being "jumpy" when you barely push on the pedal, that's because they had a whole lot more available torque at low RPM's than the JK. The JK may have more overall torque, but it takes more RPM's to reach it than it did the TJ. That I-6 it had was "insta-torque". The JK takes it a minute to get to it's full potential...but yeah, it is a whole lot easier to drive off road with it set up that way.

I city drive everyday so starting and stopped are constant. I have had no jumpiness whatsoever. Smooth as can be. In fact I all still surprised at how smooth it is.

I agree it moves easily but I would not call it smooth. Mine takes different amounts of pressure in different amounts throttle.

Anyone else hate the way these things stall?
Mine chokes and tries to run but no matter what you do it dies.

Mine's the same way. Smooth enough, but wish the springs were a bit softer.

I've found that if you try and save it, it just makes things worse. Took some getting used to, but mine will usually save itself from stalling if I just press the clutch and stay out of its way...

I'm not sure why you would try to "mod" anything. Take it in to your dealer and have it examined under warranty. Mine is as many herein described smooth and easy. Yours may need fixing or adjusted.

Then you have a problem, most likely with your throttle body. It should be covered under warranty.

Sounds like a problem, mine is very smooth.

As for the JK drive-by-wire, one of the benefits is that in 4-LO it recalibrates to be more smooth in low speed conditions, not punchy like the TJ was.

Mine felt that way new but loosened up after a few thousand miles.
