my jk is like this too. I was also wondering about this too because when it is off, if i press the brake down, the first press will go pretty much to the floor.

I thought it was the wild shift in temprature in the last few days.
We went form -9F to +42F in about 24 hours.
I'm going to stop at the dealer tonight to have them check it out.

I'd bring it in and have them take a look. I'm actually pretty impressed with the feel of my brakes. Out of curiosity, have you added a lift or anything? Maybe check the break lines and see if you're leaking? Just a thought... disregard if no mod.

My 07 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited did this .
When I got the 08 Jeep I just taped the brakes and I could feel the different's. Nothing like on my 07
The first time I did hit the brakes on the 08 I thought I was going to hit the steer wheel it took some time to readjust to the 08 and how brakes are supposed to work..

My 08 Rubicon will do this if you get in and just start it and put your foot on the brake pedal you can push it almost to the floor if you push gently! During normal driving the breaks feel great though, very responsive and work well with a firm pedal! I wonder if this may have something to do with the brake assist or other electronics tied into the braking system?
