Default Better gas milage in 4x4

We finally got some snow so I drove my 2012 JK Sport in 4x4 high for the first time. About two hours driving on the highway getting 21-22 mpg. I usually average about 18-19.

Probably due to driving at a slower pace. Any of our stock jeeps will do this if we are not running 75mph.

^ I agree...

I get some of my best mileage in slow heavy traffic

With that said, that is still great mileage for using 4-High.

I am usually 20-21 in 2wd - and down to 17-18 in 4-High.

Even with 31 inch Hankook M/Ts I average 22mpg if I keep it locked in at 60mph. But the second I hit even a 1% incline in the road my mpg's drop drastically.
