Default Bestop Video Questions

First and foremost: Why the f#ck would I want to make it look like an H3? Just lost some respect there, kids

Second. The bumper storage boxes look pretty nice. Do they only work with the Besto bumpers? What's the build quality like on those? What was he talking about knocking the side of the boxes with a hammer? Is that part of the install?

The soft doors are very high on my list. I assume they will also be available clear (not tinted) windows? Some of us specifically DO NOT like tinted windows.

I agree they should take all of those pos plastic hood apliques and recycle tham into playschool toys for kids and donate them to charity. Those have no place being anywhere near a jeep.

I have a front Bestop Highrock bumper. It is excellent build quality.

I just modified it to accept my factory fogs, so one of thoses boxes is out of the question. The D-Ring/Approach roller mount is 1" thick steel welded through the back of the bumper. There's no way those things are budging.

They also make a winch hoop that has 2 light tabs built in as a bolt on option.

I get complitments on it all the time.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't doubt for a second that there is an audiance out there who would snap these up and I'm sure they are just trying to supply a demand.

From what I could tell, the rear one should be able to work with any bumper but it's hard to say for sure if it would work up front without a High Rock bumper. As far as build quality goes, the ones I saw on display looked pretty tough and the knock outs (pre-stamped pieces intended to be left alone or literally knocked out) are designed to allow you to modify your box to hold a Hi-Lift.

Yes, I'm quite sure they will be available in clear.

The guy in the video said the tube steps are .25" thick?? That sounds pretty hefty. After seeing them, do you think they could take mild hits without buckling?

Steps are a requirement to keep the better half happy.

I did not see them in person, but the Bestop rep did specifically call them a "rock slider" as opposed to a step or something and then made it a point to say not once, but twice how beefy they are... so I would really hope they could take minor hits. My guess is that they should be able to take a fairly decent hit... but again, I haven't seen them in person.

Thanks for the reply Doojer. I'm pretty interested in these. Ive been hoping someone would make a legitimate slider with a removable step. Most anything would beat the crap I have on the side of my Rubi now (stainless tubes ).

I'll keep an eye out for these. Minor hits is all I'm worried about. I dont know if I'd rock krawl if I had the chance. It looks too easy to mess up a rig.
