I've only had a jk and a tj and i like the jk alot better.

ive had a YJ, WJ, WK, And the JK, only thing I would have done differently was use the WK's hemi in the JK.. but I like the JK more than any of my other Jeep Products.

I am shocked how many times threads like this get started. Why is it necessary to constantly try to convince yourself you have the toughest or best jeep ever?

I find it ridiculous.

I had a friend that bought a bunch of post office Jeeps when i was like 17/18. we pieced them together to get one that ran, and beat the living crap out of it. It was the best Jeep i ever had.
We fixed it again & ran it till it died, then that was the best one I had ever had,
and so on,
and so on,
and...
etc.

Just wheel the damn thing, if it breaks, fix it. Repeat.

My personal opinion is that people's odd need to keep telling themselves they have the "best" is laughable. I think all jeeps are amazing vehicles that are a far step above the norm. IMO any of them can be the best jeep ever, it all depends what you have planned for it. We put that post office Jeep in places my JK would NOT go, does that make the JK lesser? nope, just wider. Does it make that PO Jeep better? nope, just skinnier.

Ridiculous also means absurd, preposterous, and worthy of ridicule. You're making a broad sweep that each and every poster that believes the JK is the best Jeep ever made (granted most if not all of us have only experienced a few types of Jeeps and not all) are doing so to stroke their ego, validate their decision, etc.

I agree with you that what is "best" depends on the situation. But, more importantly it depends on the person. Everyone here is equally valid with what they believe is the best for them. So you can believe that most people post here for some egotistical reason, but I don't.

You're wrong to call it ridiculous.
