I figure It doesnt matter id its Line X, Herculiner, Hppo liner, or what ever. If I bump a rock or tree, its gonna leave a mark/scratch.
If I have the ability to touch it up myself, it wil always look good.
My only other concern is the UV and environmental wear and tear that may turn the surface to crap over time.
Then again, a bit of time and effort should restore its appearance.

My plan is to do this to a brand new ARB thats incoming....My old ARB on the TJ lasted fine,
but the finish never really matched anything else and always seemd out of place.

Leave it bare and let it rust. There ain't nuthin tougher than a good thick coat of rust. What is it....3/16" or 1/4"? It'll never rust through in your lifetime. Yeah, I vote rust. Totally maintainance free.

Default bumper coating

I had my ARB front bumper coated in LineX and I like it very well. Cost $135, well worth it for me. My first experience , but this stuff is reay tough.

$135 sounds pretty cheap. I think I'll have to check with the local guy just to get a price quote. They do look really good.

The quote I got was $300 here in Canada.....no thanks....

I paint all my stuff Rustoleum Hammered finish paint (black). It's fairly tough and looks good, IMO. Pics are in my sig if interested.
