Default Best car storage shelter/tent/enclosure for a JK Unlimited?

The goal of my "new" 2008 JK 4dr is to go up to our vacation home in Wisconsin. I had always dreamed of keeping a Jeep up there so I could hit some trails (hard to do in a Pacifica ) and to have a second vehicle up there. Unfortunately there is no garage up there. Our place is on a mobile home park connected to a campground, so the land isn't ours and building a permanent garage would be a bit expensive. We CAN have a garage/shelter/tent on the site though, so I was wondering if any of you store you Jeep/car/"stuff" in a similar situation. I was thinking of a 10'x20' size but might be wrong. Any input into brand/size/other options would be appreciated. BTW, security has never been an issue in the decades we have been there.

Thanx

Be careful with those tents/carports. The weight of snow easily crushes those cheap ones, even with the recommended "extra" support. If you go that route buy a very reputable brand and add extra support.

See if you can get a small steel building built on a base ( so it isn't really permanant ). Make sure it is snow rated for the area.

Avoid a dirt floor.

you can now buy used shipping containers quite cheap, a 20' container here goes for about $1500 bucks. put the jeep in and forget about it. and if you want to move just ship it.

I love those things. Dry inside, ventilated, secure. Hard to beat that.

Hmmm, never even thought of that. Thanx so much. I'm gonna check this out! The weight of between 4000-5300 pounds is a bit of a shocker, plus I don't quite know where "cargo container" fits in allowable storage on our grounds, but a great idea.

I'll look at the steel as well. Dirt might be an issue. I could probably lay down gravel base.

Great ideas. Thanx again

Maybe take a look at the companies that build small aircraft hangers. They might not be too expensive.

I bought one of those portable carports. They are supposed to last 15 years. It's been 3 years and the 'roof/wall' material has holes in it. It wears terrible. Someone was right about the snow. I ended up putting a small space heater in it one time which melted the snow off a little easier. In the summer, the inside temps get to over 130 degrees. My husband put fans at either end at the vents with a temp regulator. It got so hot in there, my Ford side emblems melted off the fender.
I have it staked down in the dirt and we have some heavy winds 60-70 mph. Instead of the dirt floor, I got rolled roofing and layed that out. Works great and I can take the leaf blower and keep it clean.
I got a dark gray color. I would recommend a lighter color. Not sure I'd get another one. I have so many rat problems. I've had 3 dead rats in my Ford truck when it was back there, even though I used, moth balls, electronic rodent repellers, opened the hood, you name it.
Now, I keep my Jeep in the driveway with an all weather cover.
