Default battery light/ beep...stay on

So I'm driving normally on back roads this morning and all of a sudden I hear a beep and I see the battery indicator go on and continues to stay on for about a mile when I decided to stop, shut off the engine and re-start it, having made sure I had my AAA card on me, anyway after doing this the light went off... , anyone else have this happen to him/ her and what did you do?....
Thanks HEK

Sounds to me like this TSB. You'll have to check your build date, though.

Maybe I completely overlooked this on one of the bazillion forms I got when I bought my jeep, but where could I find the build date?

The month and year should be listed on the sticker on the inside of the driver door sill. To get the exact date, you may need to call your dealer.

So I call the service Dpt at my local Jeep dealer to see what he thinks of the battery light tuning on all of a sudden and if he thinks that the TBS (I gave him the #) had something to do with it, , 1st he seems ignorant of the TBS as his response is that there are hundreds of these and sure I can bring him a copy but..."wouldn't you want to wait until we do your 1st oil change since the light went out??..."...ahhh no I may decide to do the oil change myself I said and he said...ohh??...so anyway my wife will bring it on Wednesday, TBS in hand and me on speed dial just in case there is a need for me to show my angry face ...but I will remain calm as I need to get used to dealing with these guys..... and their lack of interest in dealing with us the customers...

Well an update to this issue, wife took the JK to the dealer as planned and showed the service guy a copy of the TSB, at 1st he said he wont need it since my Rubi was built in early Dec.
2 hours later (good thing there is a strip mall next door) they call her to pick it up saying that the software needed an upgrade ( ) and it should be fine now.
I'm taking it to work the rest of the week and see if I notice anything different...let's hope if I do it's positive

Default wow...!!!!!

Let me start by saying I couldn't get to work fast enough to post my experience today after the REFLASH.....ohhahhh
When I got the Jeep and drove it felt underpowered as many here say, so being my 1st Jeep i accepted it as being normal and well learned to live with it....
I drove the same road I've been driving to work and is all backroads, one lane each way with hills galore and before today I had to downshift to 5th and 4th to go up this particular hill and well I thought it was something I had top get used to driving my rig.
Well let me tell you that today I kept it in 6th gear with plenty of power to spare and when i downshifted to 5th I (for the 1st time) felt a PULL... and for the 1st time heard the CAI make the engne growl.....
Now for those who claim that their engine is underpowered maybe, just maybe you should have your dealer look at it , mine was built after the TSB date click here and if it wasn't for my battery light turning on i would still be driving my rig as i thought it was meant to be driven.
Sorry for the long post but I want to add that when i test drove a FJ, I felt in comparison the JK was slower, and now after this software upgrade I can honestly say...NOT NOMO.....I feel like I just got a new vehicle handed to me ...anyways I wanted to shre this and BTW they did something to my radio that it doesn't cut out as much as well....thanks doojer and those who made the TSB available, if you were close by Westfield I'd buy you guys a beer....you guys ROCK
HEK...
