Idaho,
Your avatar is hilarious. Young Frankenstein is one of my favorite movies of all time..
I called earlier today to file a complaint with Quadratec. Didn't offer me any 'swag', free shipping discounts, etc.... Any time I've had issues with other companies, they always send me free 'swag' without even asking. Not that I expect things for free, I don't at all, but it says a lot about a business that goes the extra mile to EARN my business.

I'm a consistent customer to both Qtec, and primarily Northridge4x4. I have noticed than Qtec has parts on back order more often than not. Their customer service is still good though, I've just gotten in the habit of msging qtec before I order to make sure what I'm after is in stock. Now Northridge, hands down no one can match there customer service. Dave has called me a number of times minutes after placing an order to let me about delay or something I should know about the brand/part I'm ordering. I use N4x4 as much as possible, Qtec second.

I have found that except for Northridge or Amazon, most vendors are back ordered on most items I ever order.
I too agree that merchants should list whether or not the item is in stock before ordering, I think they don't because they don't want you shopping elsewhere. I also think needing to call ahead sort of defeats having the whole online shopping concept. What really gets me is when your charged up front for something that is back ordered and hasn't shipped, credit card statement comes in and you pay it, and yet you still don't have the order. It seems like most of the offroad shops do this.

I have to stick up for Qtec too. Never a problem. And for those who are not so Internet savvy... If you want free shipping do a google search for the item you want. You will see Qtec offers free shipping on just about everything so sorry forum brothers we are not that special.
