i know this has been posted before,,but,,,,,
i was talking with another avid jeeper today (who loves cj8s),,,he swears an auto trans is much better for off roading,,,,
i think,, a stick is better,,why you ask?, its better going down a hill
not many people can drive a stick anymore,,,not as easy to steal,,
more control over the vechicle,,,
and its a lot more fun to drive...
please let me know what you think

 

I love my auto, it's a lot easier.

You don't have to worry about accidently pressing in the clutch when in mud/water.

 

I love a manual transmission in any vehicle. I like the feeling of being more actively involved in driving and not just along for the ride.

 

My jk is the first auto I've ever owned.after owning three jeeps and trans problems with all three I wanted a auto. And wife had a factor in it. Been wheeling in both autos and manuals. My vote auto equals mire presicion. Don't get me wrong I love a manual but its nice to hold a in one hand steer with the other haha j/k don't drink and drive

 

I had a manual TJ and now an auto unlimited. I like the convenience of auto.

 

i love manuals and that not going to change, but here in NYC traffit my auto take the manual by a long shot i wish i could afford two wrangler one for dd "AUTO" and a manual for the weekends

I have a auto with 35's and 4.10 gears. I thought it was fine stock and when I went to my tires I used a flashpaq and love it. I have no trouble offroad and onroad it's great around town. Highway I just try to stay 65'or below and it's good. 2007 sahara

 

love my manual, can't see me ever having a slush box.
