Got a 6 spd but will be getting an auto when I trade soon , trading due to my lemon. Waiting on Chrysler to make it right.

Here, look at this thread, from post #30 on
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-off-road-101-97/going-downhill-offroad-jk-43676/

Now we can spread the confusion to other threads.

( I ordered, but it was a Rubi, standard with the 4.10's that's why I don't recall the setup on the others.)
Oh boy, read that other thread, now I'm really confused... I just went out to look in my glove box for my window sticker, but it's not in there. I'll have to look for it at home later. I could swear it did not say 4:10.

If I can't find my sticker, I'll spin the back wheels and count the r's on the driveshaft. But it sure doesn't feel like 4:10.

Edited - Dang, that didn't take long! I found the specs at the Jeep website. According to the info there, I do have 4:10:1. I have the auto and the towing package. Either one of those options got the 4:10s in 2007. I'll do a reply and attached the pdf file spec sheet.

I think I've hijacked my own thread, haven't I?!?

Isn't there a website to punch in the VIN and get the specs? Gotta go search that...

Default Jeep spec sheet

Continuing with my own thread hijack, I tried attaching the PDF spec sheet, but the file size is too big

So, best I can do is the link to Jeep.com, the left side of the page has an area to pick the year and model, then view the spec sheet:
http://www.jeep.com/en/owners/index.html

I could get the spec sheet for the 07 X, but not the 08. It says they're working on it...

you made a joke here but I really can't drive an auto (it's like aiming a car)....I get totally paranoid having to use the brake instead of having the engine help me slow down, go figure.....

BTW getting back to the poll I'd say stick....

I went with the 6 Sp Manual based on price, and it seems everythime I get an Auto I have nothing but trouble with the Transmission.

I went with an auto, I had manual on order, but the exact jeep came in in an auto version 1 week after I ordered, I went with the auto and am happy with it, I like it while offroading, and while sitting in the wonderful traffic of NY... Oh, and it came with remote start, which is EXCELLENT in the winter. And I have had many manual trans in the past, and I always beat on them, they just ask for it..

My only gripe with the auto, is the need to really mash down on the pedal to get it to downshift while climbing steep hills at highway speed.

Overall, Im glad I went AUTO

I waited 6 months for mine.
It was worth every agonizing minute too.

I personally like a manual rock-crawling, if you know how to use it .....auto would be nice at times...but I'll stick with my manual.

My wife completely disagrees
