Usually, I don't like the Special Editions (outside of the Anv editions)...but I do like this one. I bet it would be pure tits in all white...

Again, I'm just happy to see Winter Chill. Hopefully...everyone hates it...and I can scoop one up for cheap(er)!

2% under invoice here in the Chicago area if you go to Pat with your control number.....I'm just waiting to see more colors in person.
I'm with you, I love the color. I want Winter Chill in a Rubicon JKU just not the yeti package.

Looks like Mattel is in charge of marketing

Essentially Chrysler are marketing the Jeep as a kids toy.... COD,Mojave, Arctic.... what's next? Barbie? Transformers?..... how about Hot Wheels? I really don't think this is a great direction for sales..... the people who appreciate this kind of thing are really not old enough to drive!
The Arctic is a capable Jeep and should be marketed as such..... kit it out like an Arctic Expedition Vehicle and make it look like it means business.....Yeti logos....really??

All they are doing is alienating their customer base..... to what end?

I see a Sahara with some badging.... So what?

Besides, if you expect to drive that JK on ice and snow, you'll need better tires.

How do you figure it alienates customer base??? If anything, it is the exact opposite. People who do not a want the special editions, will not buy them. If someone is in the market for a rubicon and doesnt like the COD edition, then he simply wont buy the COD edition. He isnt going to not buy a Jeep all together simply because a COD edition exists.

Really you need to use some common sense here, slapping acouple stickers on a Jeep and giving and making it look a little different is only a 2000 dollar mark up (MSRP). To do what you are saying, lift, tires, snorkel, winch, ect.... would be more like a 10k dollar mark up. Talk about truely alienate customers by selling Wranglers for 50k+. Plus the customers that are interested in true capable Jeeps, would much rather do it to their own tastes.

I dont understand why everyone is getting so bent outta shape about these special editions. We all the know that the jeep is not a 1 in a few club anymore. There are more on the road right now than there prob ever where since the 4 door has been out. Chrysler sees that and is taking advantage. Big deal

I'm not bent out of shape over this at all.... what I am saying is that the image Chrysler create of an entire vehicle line up with a few high profile "toy" editions will not as likely reflect positively on overall sales as they may think....
Think of it this way.... you buy a nice house....you landscape the front yard tastefully, as do most folks on your street....maybe some leave theirs quite plain....your neighbor however, decides to fill his yard with fountains, garden gnomes and shiny garden center gewgaws.... how is your neighborhood perceived now? Do you consider moving? How do you feel when your friends and family visit? How likely are other people to class your street as "desirable"?

In my opinion....which is the only opinion I can have.....and doesn't necessarily make it right ....I think that a few stickers and a bit of trim can create a "tasteful" image if done correctly that doesn't make the vehicle a parody of itself..... just my 2 cents....taste...after all... is tremendously subjective
