Question Anyone use a Receiver hitch extension?

Does anyone use a receiver hitch extension for their hitch mounted cargo carrier? I need to get one to clear my larger spare. Any pics and what size did you get?

I bought one a while back for my bike rack. I forgot where I got it from but I'll get back to you.

Thanks all. I see that there are a few out there. Looks like Reese so far is the one that claims you lose the least amount of overall tounge weight. I need all 500 lbs you know!

Got an extension with a step from Harbor Freight to use with my bike rack- part number 97685. I keep thinking I could strap something to the step, but haven't got around to it yet. Looks like it's on sale for under 25.

Regardless of what the rating of the cargo basket, hitch, or extension, the maximum tongue weight is still limited by the vehicle. All US manufacturers limit it to 10% of the overall towing capacity of the vehicle.

2 Door: 2,000 lb Capacity [200 lb. tongue weight]
4 Door: 3,500 lb Capacity [350 lb. tongue weight]
