anyone use different tow hooks on the front stock bumper?
Well I am going to remove the plastic front bumper cover next weekend and I wanted to see if I can buy some shackles that will mount to the stock bumper?

I wanted to do the same thing and I went in circles forever trying to figure out a way until I just broke down and went with the stock mopar tow hooks.
Good luck finding something else that will work.

thats one of a couple of threads i have found. I have seen people mount them on the rear bumper. Not sure how great of an idea it is.

No reason, should work fine,, the D rings from the Rugged Ridge XHD bumper should work.. Just need to find someone that bought the XHD and later added the Pre-Runner gaurd or stinger hoop which requires the D-rings to be removed. I suppose you could get the stainless steel D-rings which you can buy separately, but they are over $100,,
I did see a JK here locally that had D-rings hanging down from under his bumper, but I didn't look to see how they were mounted.
