Anyone know anything about this top???

It's weird, it kind of looks like there are windows. Look at the highlight on the drivers side, it looks like light coming through. And on the passenger side where the window would be, it is a lighter color, as if the light is showing through there too. It's like they are hedging their bets; they haven't decided if it will have windows or not yet, but they wanted to put out promo pics, so they put , for a lack of a better term, subliminal windows.

Don't get totally discouraged about that top. I've bought a few items (a soft-top liner and a frameless top) from Cal Tops for my TJs and had zero trouble. It's hit or miss I guess but I loved the stuff I got from them and was surprised to see them ripping people off.

Do you know any details about that top WOL, or are they keeping that as quite as their soft doors? I'm just wondering if it seals all the way, or if it's just windows under a basic bikini top. Will it be complete, or will we need to use parts from our existing soft top?

What? You don't ball like that??
It'd be nice for someone to come out with a nice frameless top for the JK. I don't really like the fact that the Cal Tops (or whoever it is) rolls to the front and is permanantly attached to the windshield (unless wrenched off). If there were a frameless top that was 1: stowable and 2: quick on-off (within reason) and 3: under $1K, I'd be all about it.

I came across this thumbnail (small, I know) on the Bestop site. I couldn't find any info about this top. The "fast top" design looks pretty good. I think this top/door combination would be a good summer package here in CO.
Pretty nice wheels, too. anyone know anything about them?

WARNING: BUYER BEWARE
The manufacturer of this product is believed to be a Canadian based company called Californiatops. This conclusion was determined by doing research online and by what the author of this post eventually stated in his post here.
Californiatops is a company that has a long history of questionable business practices and they have been banned from eBay and PayPal. This has been documented by the Ripoff Report and can be verified by doing a simple Google search or a search on forums such as JeepsUnlimited.com and RubiconOwners.com. More recently, a member here had purchased a thermal liner from this company while they were still going under the name coloradojeepman and his experience with them can be found here.
I have personally tried contacting this company to acquire a phone number and/or physical address for their stated location in Florida just in case the information I had about them was erroneous and my inquiries were met with hostility and my questions went unanswered. Needless to say, it is our opinion that this company has questionable business practices and would advise against purchasing any of their products.

A bit pricey for what you get IMO. I have an emergency top on my wish list that I would like to have when I go out without the top just in case, and it costs ony $140 for the 4-door version. Looks like it would serve about the same function. I'd love to see a picture of the 4-door version if anyone has it.

Yeah, pricewise this top looks great. However, it specifically states it should only be used for short low-speed distances. Guess you won't b using this on the highway for fear of it flying off onto someones windshield and causing a major accident
I'm hoping some company like Best Top comes out with a partial soft top that would work in conjunction with the Freedom panels. Something that would allow you to run both w/o issue to speed, distance, or rain and come off in minutes when the weather permitted.
