No regrets. Love my X. Love my Rubicon.
X was bare bones when purchased. No A/C, no power windows, locks etc. Don't need em', as I go doorless all summer long. The Rubicon is loaded with all the bells and whistles. Don't need em' but they are nice. Wheel em' both.

I love my X the only thing extra it came with was a/c thats how i wanted it I'm having so much fun modding it myself, if only there was one of those money trees my mom used to tell me about growing in the back yard

Can I post the other way? I bought a Rubicon and am extremely happy I did over an X. I use the hell out of the stock, Lockers, Low t-case, rock sliders, e-sway. I know it's not very expensive things. But its all under warranty and it's all getting paid for month by month. I tried buying a lower end and modding it before. I think it sucks personally. There isn't a Rubicon option I'd like to give up..
Price is all debatable. I paid $23k for mine brand new, friend of mine paid that for an extremely similar option (window/audio/etc) X about 10 months before I bought mine...So "did i pay a ton more"? I don't think so, and I'd do it again!
Where the X struggled spinning it's open diffs to get up this
The Rubicon walked up this
i'm not tryin to rip on Mr. Ryan. Just for comparison sake. Thats just purely screwing around, but the increase in traction, and ability to climb with the lockers is dramatic. I have a 6spd and a incline like that would have been smoking the clutch with a stock X/Sahara t-case. Vs not even giving it gas with the 4:1

I wasvery much wanting the Rubicon but I dont go off roading everyday and when I do it isn't anything that my X can't do...so I am actually glad I did the X and saved that extra money so I could put it towards suspension, wheels n tires, bumper and lights and what not.

Of course I wanted a Rubicon, really, who wouldn't? They just charge a friggin ungodly amount of money for what is basically a pretty simple vehicle.
I got an X cause it's the most i could spend. Over time I've been turning it into the Rubicon that i really wanted. About the only thing missing now is the 4:1 t-case. That's gonna be tough to justify tho.
