Any pics of woodgrain

Other pics...
Pretty sure FzyPch had some posted in the gallery section.
As for preference, "real" wood that has been painstakingly crafted by hand is a beautiful thing in a car, just not in my Jeep!

I guess I'm with FR in the tiny minority that likes the look... I wouldn't do that to MY Jeep (in that color), but I've seen worse. I've actually considered picking up a molded dark gray finished laminate with some nice burls and deep grain detail for the interior, but my wife asked "what's the point - it's already dark gray inside"... that killed the idea for now!
Oh - and I almost forgot to mention - I prefer the wood look a hell of a lot better than the carbon fiber look (it's a Jeep: carbon fiber belongs in race cars and rice rockets, and a Jeep is about as far from either as you can get!) Who's with me on that opinion?

- I dont like the wood, in a Jeep. In other vehicles it can look great.
- I agree carbon fiber belongs on other things as well. Carbon fiber to me is indicitive of high end sports cars and crotch rockets where strength and weight savings are a huge concern. IMHO for the Jeep, the miniscule weight savings of a few pieces of the stuff is far outweighed by 75-plus lbs. of recovery gear, weighty mud tires, bumpers, winches etc. etc. So i fail to see the point for Jeeps. Dont eat at Burger King before you wheel, you won't get the squirts and you'll shave off those precious few ounces. Lots of money that could to me, be better spent elsewhere.
- I like my cheap scratched up painted plastic
- I am undecided on the stainless stuff.

Happy, now if I could get CF body panels, maybe I would, because they would be stronger than the metal we have. They would also cost about 5x what the Jeep cost. CF dash applique actually weighs more, which is comical to me. It is like putting a Type-R sticker on your car.
Might as well drive one of these if you are worried about weight savings.

I personally like the look so I did it to mine. It just tones down all the black plastic....I did consider the stainless steel overlay, but decided against it as I didn't want to feel like I was cooking in front of my stove while I was driving .....I also looked at the carbon fiber, but didn't like it, cause as my 4 year old son said "it's too busy looking"....

I know it's not for everybody, but it's for me
