Another "Wave" thread

This is an incorrect thought process.
You are not waving at the douchebag / waxasnatchie in the drivers seat. They are incidental. You are being respectful by acknowledging and waving toward the presence of another Jeep.
or mebbe they are all jerks. your call.

The problem is that if those "low quality" companies go out of business then the only thing left is the "high quality" companies. What do you think will happen if the "high quality" guys know they have you by the short and curlies? The "low quality" guys actually help those of us that like the high quality stuff to be able to buy the "high quality" stuff at a reasonable price. And yes buy American when possible.

I am the guy that gives you all the butt burrs. I am a newbie to the jeep world, yes I am aware of my post count. So after reading about the jeep wave I started doing it. I live in Denver and there are so many jeeps here that it requires more vigilance than Mad Eye Moody fighting a zombie horde! I have not received one wave in return. I'll keep waving cuz crying kids make my ears hurt. Maybe we can get it back. If it doesn't work please choose a post office in North Dakota for the grand release.

These wave threads never end. Here's my view, and my last comment on the topic...
If you want to wave at other Jeeps to keep a long lived tradition alive, goodonya. I'll be the guy returning or initiating the wave when I see you.
If you're the guy, for whatever reason, who doesn't wave at Jeeps JUST because they don't have mods then may your attitude and arrogance bring you an arsehole full of hemoroids.
If you've stopped waving because your feelings have been hurt by others not returning the wave, stop being so sensative. It takes very little effort to lift a couple of fingers off the wheel to acknowledge another Jeep and keep a tradition alive... who cares if the wave isn't returned, it's their loss.
I wave at all wrangler style platforms (CJ, YJ, TJ and JK's). I always will and don't get bothered if the wave isn't returned.

I think people get upset not because of a butt-hurt thing, but more that it's a sign of the break down of an otherwise tight knit community. A thing of too many people jumping into the family without paying their respect.
Maybe a little dramatic, sure, but that's my take. What do I know, though, I've never owned a Jeep before and won't for another couple of weeks or so, but you bet your titties I'll be waving my ass off the second I drive off the lot.
