So for those who say no way they would do it, what if it were easy to do like the old latch set up on the older Jeeps?
Don't knock driving that way till you try it.

If it was simple, and didn't leak like a sieve after you did it once, yes. The way it is now, they might as well get rid of it.

My YJ doesn't leak from the windshield being dropped, and it gets dropped most every trail ride when temps are above 60*. So unless they screwed the JK up why would it leak? That's what the gasket is for.

For those who say or think that they will "never" use this feature... Yet they offroad their jeeps... Here's is (perhaps not what jeep had in mind) a benefit to having a folding windshield. If u ever put this vehicle on it's side or up against a tree and damage your windshield frame and glass- all u need to do is jump on the forums and find a windshield frame without (if ur lucky) having to even deal with a body shop. ur welcome ;-)
