Default Another financial tip for the Jeep.

Take advantage of your good credit score. I just did a transfer balance at 1.99% to pay it off, which will help me in two ways:

1) Lower interest on the loan- I'll just pay it off quickly now.

2) I have the pink slip since I transferred the balance to my credit card.
No more lien (lein?)= lower insurance premiums.

So now that you have paid it off (not really) you're going to drop the insurance coverage?

:Having the jeep paid off is awesome. Time for some real mods.

I think I will just make the JK a tow rig anyways after I get a rig to haul it.

Really guys, paying your Jeep off with a credit card might not be the smartest thing to do. Just be late one time and see what the interest rate could do.

Wait till the credit card introductory rate ends and they raise your rate to 19% with out telling you.... I'd try to pay that sucker off quick.

I had a credit card company tell me even though I have excellent credit and always pay on time they still raised my interest... With out telling me... Needless to say, they got balance transferred.

I'm curious what part of insurance will change just because you don't have a lien.

My buddy is an insurance guy and there is some difference between rates If it has a lien or not. If he is at basketball this morning as will ask why that is.

It will all depend on the terms, I have had balance tranfers that will uphold the terms until you can pay them off. I hope the OP read the terms and makes sure that the credit card can't change the terms whenever they want, and those first few minimum payments are going to be really hight.

I did this to pay off some debts (about $11k) and it worked for me but I knew everything up front and the first minimum payments were over $1,000.

It is also true that if you miss one, you are screwed!
