Default Am I getting a good deal???

I have worked out a deal with a local dealership here in CT. New '08 Unlimited X, automatic, 24S package, power convenience group, dual top, and they are adding the tow hitch. Out the door...tax, title, reg. and doc fees $29,9XX.

What do you think???

Sorry, I forgot to add that I am also rolling over about $1,500 from the previous vehicle. Don't forget that I have the luxury of paying 6% sales tax here in CT, which is costing me about $1,700. So that's about $3200 in on top of the cost of the vehicle.

That's not a good deal. Especially considering the economic times we are living in.

I'd shop around some more.

I got out the door with my X unlimited, 23s, power, airbag, LSD, and tow for a little over 27000 including tax (7.75) and licensing.

I might get them to come down a little, especially since the 09's are showing up.

It doesn't hurt to try

A little? They need to come down a lot. An '08 X for $30k? They're smoking some seriously good stuff AND attempting to walk over db1.

I drove away from the dealer in November of '07 with an '08 X Unlimited, LSD, tow package, 3" lift, aftermarket 17x8 wheels and 33" Pro-Comp Xterrains, tax & tags, for $24k.

I just entered all of the information to the tool on Edmunds.com, and they give you a true market value (what others are paying for the vehicle), and it almost came out exact to what I might be paying. What sort of validity would you give to that pricing tool?
